Hi there! My name is Ana Miguel Mendes. I’m 21, and I was born and live in Portugal, more precisely Oporto. I’m a relaxed sort of person. But I had to deal with a lot of judgment in my life…I truly believe people should just be who they are, and never hide. People always used to judge me because of the way I look. They still do. They immediately believe I’m a drug addict or a maniac, just because I have a different appearance. But once they get to know me, its a completely different situation. I have my own style, its true, and that upsets some. But I love myself for who I am. And to those people I say: Kiss my ass! I will never change.

So, I suppose you’ve realized that I don’t care about how a person looks on the outside but on the inside. I’m a true friend. And I believe in people. I know sometimes I shouldn’t. My friends and family mean everything to me, and that includes my cats. They’re like my own kids. They do behave like children anyways, so… x)

Painting and drawing is my life. When I’m drawing it seems like I’m having an out of body experience. To this day I still can’t believe I can draw! Its such a gift.

I sing everyday. It just makes me a happier person. Music is very important to me. I’m thinking about starting my own rock band, actually. On this blog you’ll see that I usually post a lot of music related stuff, especially when it comes to Tokio Hotel. I’m absolutely in love with bands and singers like U2, Blue, TH, Supertramp, Muse, Hoobastank, Michael Jackson and Robbie Williams. Also I really love movie soundtracks.

There are some people I admire a lot. They truly are my role models. People like Orlando Bloom (he was my first idol, I became an admirer of him in 2001, and since then he just never ceases to surprise me. Great actor, nice guy, with a really big heart), Bill Kaulitz (I just admire him as the person he is, I love the fact that he doesn’t give a damn about what other people think about him, he’s an amazing talented artist, and I can really relate to him), Peter Jackson (No one will ever surpass his Lord of the Rings movies, in my opinion), Bono Vox (he’s a great humanitarian, and the amazing singer of my favorite band of all times, U2), Tyra Banks (love her whole attitude, she’s fierce!) and Oprah (she’s genuinely a good person, who always tries to help others in need). And last but not least my boys from Blue, Duncan James, Lee Ryan, Antony Costa and Simon Webbe, who are literally the nicest guys in the world. I feel very fortunate to have met you and spent some time in your company.

Finally, I’m also a web designer and a graphic designer, I love making websites! I spend my day online (when I’m not a school, of course x). I’m the web miss of several websites, and that takes a lot of my time. I mean I’m really passioned about my websites, but sometimes it’s so stressful to update them all. And that’s pretty much it!
